WE MAKE IT EASY WE MAKE IT FUN

There was a designer that did something like a set of these a little while back.
Do not want to offend but when I find out who he was in my archives I am definitely going to link the inspiration. But I heard this phrase and I thought this is what life should be.
EASY.
FUN.
So this can be finished.. ugghh .. I don't know.
I feel like it is missing stuff and I will add more to it.

HEART'S STARS !

I think I am actually comfortable with the result of these two posters. Not too bad for a first time. I cannot figure out which one I like more though.
But then again, these are not for me. So make your requests and you shall get either one.
I hope they print well !

and socks and sweats and stripes.
Three to be precise. I have started a project that is based on a relationship with adidas. It will be a book with some photography and illustration primarily by myself but with the help of the "to be great photographer" .. Joe Le.
It seems like something fun to do !
And this is something to kick it off .. Ain't it Grand !!

SCRIBBLE

First another scribble.
Got a whole bunch more to scan .. some design .. some simple illustration..
Still trying to decide what I want to label myself as. It seems that there is no room for "jack of all trades". But there are no complaints as long as I can create.
It is the greatest act of love !!

Oh and I cannot wait. I want me some Malcolm X frames. Or something similar.
RELEASE THE INNER GEEK !!

Star People

I am so grateful to have have met the people I have.
They will all hold a special place in my heart .. some A LOT more than others .. but stars none the less.
This is a poster for them all ..
Thank you.

on a technical note .. some of highlights need to be fixed. There are some colour issues that need addressing and also some depth in the actual space cloud.
Shall be addressed soon. This took forever to render.

Inspired by Penguin

I started reading this book called Wizard of Earthsea published by Penguin Books.
Really impressive story with a message that I cannot help but feel resonate with me. It goes something like ..
"A man, who, knowing his whole true self, cannot be used or possessed by any power other than himself, and whose life therefore is lived for life's sake and never in the service of ruin, or pain, or hatred, or in the dark."
Really inspiring little book.
So I sketched.
Nothing major right now just a concept of Dorothy. I find when I want to relax from design I delve into comic books. And I have been inspired by french illustration. I am tweaking the style a bit. I feel a little more liberated drawing this way. I find that when I draw trying to force the realism, I lose the fun of the illustration. I think I am starting to find a comfort zone that I am in a complete state of non-compromise.

I also picked up some Jeff Jones and I was instantly hooked.
I feel this is going to be a beautiful couple days of inspired illustration.
